Our Core Values

Jesus Changes Everything

We believe in Jesus’ radical power to transform lives. Everything we do is committed to helping people who do not yet know that it’s never too late to follow Christ and embrace the abundant life he has for them.

Unity doesn’t mean uniformity

Jesus is our primary focus. In a polarized world we want to be known because of what we’re “for” instead of what we’re “against.” We know that well meaning Christians have disagreed on a myriad of topics throughout Christianity. Therefore, we are committed to be united despite differences in some theological convictions we may have.

Your faith isn’t static

We are a church committed to growth in our walk with Jesus. We understand that we don’t have all the answers. We are a safe space intent on journeying and wondering about life’s toughest questions, together.

We pursue those in the margins

Many things in life—and faith—are not clear. One thing, however, is. Jesus cares about those who are in need in our world. We believe we are to be the hands and feet of Jesus, called to assist the most vulnerable get the help they need.

The arts connect the human experience to God

We believe the good news of Jesus is the most important message and should be communicated in the most compelling way. Culture has often distinguished between “sacred” and “secular” but we believe anything can be used to point us to God. We express creative arts in our services to connect our human experience with God’s story.

What We Believe

About God

We believe that there is one God, the Creator of the universe, and that this God is good, wise, powerful, loving, and holy. We believe that this God loves everything that He has made, especially human beings, whom He created in His own image.

Separation from God

We also believe that, through no fault of God's, humanity estranged itself from God, and that this estrangement is the ultimate cause of all evil, pain, suffering and death in the world - and beyond. We believe that if God didn't provide a means of escape, the human race - as individuals, and as the whole family of humankind - would self destruct, remaining eternally separated from God.

About Jesus

We believe that this state of affairs was unacceptable to God. We believe that God came into our world, and that it is through the death of Jesus Christ and His resurrection that God rescues men and women, children and elderly, rich and poor alike - and He demonstrates His great love, and claims us to be a part of His eternal community.

About the Holy Spirit

We believe that it was God's desire to communicate this love to us, and that He has done so in the Bible - our highest source of authority. We believe that the Bible is true - God would not lie to us about these things - and that in it we learn not only of God's rescue through Christ, but also of His way of life through the Holy Spirit.

About the Trinity

We believe, therefore, that this one God exists, mysteriously, in three persons - the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. We believe that this God alone is worthy of all our worship, our highest adoration, and our life-long service.
