Pastoral Counseling

Pastoral counseling is a place to find gracious and loving listening and direction as you figure life out. Our pastoral counselor is ready and equipped to hold space for you, to ask questions, help uncover insight, and invite God into your processing.

To get started, fill out our informational form and schedule your (free) intro meeting. Sarah will meet you on the virtual call and help you decide if pastoral counseling is a good fit for what you need in this season.

If you have questions or want more information, email us at counseling@crosswindschurch.org.

Sarah Holstra, MACM

Sarah Holstra moved to the Bay Area to join our Crosswinds staff in 2019. As the Growth Pastor, she helps people grow in two ways - inward, through spiritual formation and healing, and outward, by expanding how our church loves our neighbors.

Sarah brings a unique blend of pastoral care and clinical expertise to her counseling practice. She focuses on helping people create healthy boundaries, develop clear communication skills, and build meaningful relational connections. Her work centers on supporting clients as they become emotionally and spiritually healthy, deepen their connection to God, overcome codependency, navigate life transitions, and experience authentic spiritual growth.

She has a Bachelor's degree in Youth Ministry, a Master's degree in Pastoral Counseling, and is currently pursuing a Doctoral degree in Spiritual Formation and Relational Neuroscience. When she's not reading (her favorite pastime) or frequenting her local farmer's market, Sarah loves spending time with her husband Zac, their dog Charlie, and their cats Winston and Cece.
