Building Bridges

CrossWinds is a Church that cares deeply about creating an environment where people of all opinions, political persuasions, and convictions can come together and dialogue and continue to take steps to learn and understand one another and grow closer in our relationships. We know that in a world that is so divided, Churches can often be known by what they’re against, rather than what they’re for and we believe that outside of the core essentials of Christianity, good, faith-minded people will reach different conclusions about difficult topics.

As a result of this realty, we are committed to practicing what is called the “Third Way” where we are willing to venture into the muck of hard conversations together knowing we may not come out the other side in full agreement. Yet, irrespective of this truth, we can look at people with whom we disagree on hard topics and know that they are still our brother and sister in Christ and deeply loved by God. Because of this, we are creating what we call “Bridge Building Groups” around tough issues and conversations. These will be at times be seasonal and vary based on leadership, and where we feel like God is calling us to dig in. Below is what we have available currently:
